Manisa, located in the west part of Türkiye, is one of the metropolitan cities with its 1.475.353 citizens. The city distinguishes itself through its deep-rooted history, natural beauties, tourism and developed industry.

ARRIVAL TO MANİSA
Manisa is located approximately 35 km away from İzmir. Due to closeness with İzmir, the city has not an airport. Therefore, the transportation to Manisa gets access via İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport (ADB.)

FROM AIRPORT TO MANİSA CITY ✈
For our guests attending the conference from abroad, a paid VIP transfer service will be provided from Adnan Menderes Airport to Manisa. Similarly, after the conference concludes, a paid VIP transfer service will be provided from Manisa to Adnan Menderes Airport. Transfers will be scheduled by the organising committee according to the arrival times of our guests at the airport. The one-way fee for the paid VIP transfer service is approximately 25 Euros.
There are also other ways to reach Manisa. Guests who wish to do so may choose these routes.
First Way
You should order your taxi in advance (https://city-airport-taxis.com) or we can arrange it for you. Taxi drivers waiting outside the airport terminals have flexible rates and usually charge more.
Second Way
First, you need to take the IZBAN (train) from Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport and go to Hilal Station. (Tickets must be purchased from the ticket sales point at Airport Station). It is necessary to get off at Hilal IZBAN Station and take the Hilal Metro Station. After getting off at Evka-3 station, you need to get in “Manisa Seyahat” buses (You have to walk 2 minutes to “Manisa Kavşağı”) that are coming to Manisa in every 15 minutes. “Manisa Seyahat” bus ends at 11:00 pm. It takes about 45 minutes to Manisa. Totally, it takes about 45 MINUTES to Manisa.






Third Way
After landing at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport, you can also choose HAVAŞ, which provides transfer bus service from the airport. HAVAŞ organizes two shuttle buses from Adnan Menderes Airport to Manisa Bus Terminal every day at 11.00 and 15.30. You can take HAVAŞ to Manisa Bus Terminal, from where you can reach your hotel in as little as 10-15 minutes by taxi.

CURRENCY
The official currency is the Turkish Liras (TL). Euros are not accepted everywhere. It might be or not accepted in İstanbul, but in Manisa we use Turkish Liras. However, if you allow the international transactions, you can use your personal debit or credit card almost in every shop.
⚠ We recommend you do not change all your money at the airport. You can change it later in Manisa; it will be more beneficial for you.
BASIC RULES
If you are willing to travel Manisa in your free times, you can use both taxis and public transportation. However, while you are taking city buses, you should consider using credit card or city’s transportation card (Kent Kart) since cash is not valid.


Smoking is prohibited everywhere inside buildings, thus all the smokers will have to go outside or to specially designated areas for a cigarette.
F type plugs and sockets are also used in Türkiye. The system, which supports up to 16 Amps of current, is suitable for operation between 220 – 240 Volts. Type F plugs and sockets are earthing line type C. F type sockets are suitable for C and E type plugs.
